Alright so there is a new man in my life. I wonderful old coot, Courtney T. Edison, The Old Codger. He is one of the most amazing personalities at the Jersey radio station WFMU. I first came up on the station from a recommendation from my friend Chris, he was explaining to me that Dj. Rupture had a show on this station as well as some great field recording shows. But when I was browsing podcasts I came upon an all 78 record podcast/radio show and its host, a distinguished man that claims to be 150 years old and stubborn as the mule he rode in on. The only two words I can describe this show with is “classic” and “original” I know those might be to opposing adjectives but the only thing more hypocritical is the Old Codger himself. I need not say anymore, for I feel I may kill the abrasive magic that this young gentlemen host will sway and romance you with. So I will tell you plainly that this is one radio show not to be missed. Also check out some of WFMU’s other shows they all are of extremely unique quality and are not too elitist, as sometimes radio stations and dj’s are.
